(Untitled) — NaPoWriMo Day 23

When the ground falls from beneath
The foundations of our lives
The connections we’ve weaved
Will hold us as we cry. Life is
Hallowed ground: where gods come
To tread. Community opens her
Heart to all in a welcome
That echoes beyond — further.
Know it or not, each of us is in
A free-fall, toward a dark,
Unknowing mystery. It will catch
Us, eventually
hold us in its
Arms. Rock us to sleep
Eternally.
