Palm Sunday — NaPoWriMo Day 14

I have an unspoken question.
It exists as a life.

Today, it wonders, what
might the rising sun invite

Did you know that palm fronds
were burned five weeks ago?
Are you renewed?

The sun moves through the sky
with predictably, as our
hearts beat.

The great traditions offer more
questions than answers.
It’s how a young woman can
find her people, expanding in
a hostile place.

When held as a question,
every moment becomes
sacred. A sacrament.

It’s how an elderly man can
see a cross made of a palm
frond hung in the back of
a fast food restaurant can
inspire a homily that surprises
as well as delights.

It’s how a holy week can begin,
again and again.
