All there is

I am more and more blown away by the immense complexity of being alive. Complexity comes with messiness. It comes with uncertainty and ambiguity. It comes with needs, and feelings, and, because of these things, pain. It’s a tough racket this being alive business. The thing is, in all of that complexity and messiness is all of the beauty and the joy. We can’t have one without the other. Beware of those who say we can. There is no silver bullet. There is no panacea. There is no get rich quick scheme. All there is is the uncertainly of it all. By embracing that we can begin to get a better picture of what will serve us, and, (and maybe more importantly) how we can serve others. Dive in. As someone once said, the only way out is through.
