Untitled — #NaPoWriMo Day 22

Removed from my tongue is the
justification to speak into just
any situation — as if it were mine
to have, hold, and carry. I was
raised like this. We were all
given the upbringing we were
given — conditioned as we
were. Startled, over time, I’ve
come to see what’s not mine
more than what is. I’m okay
with that. Who am I to write
about your joy? Humbled, I
tap my foot to the beat.
