Percy’s person — NaPoWriMo Day 22

Mary Oliver taught us to
pay attention — she
shared her wonder, her
prayers. There is nothing
left on her kitchen
table. She brought it all
to the day. Walking, pen
and pad in hand, through
a grove of trees, she
told us what the heart
wants. She put words
to the formless. Let
love reach up from the
page. Life, she told us,
is imploring us to live.
As fully as the aspen.
