How honest are we? I’d guess that most of us would consider ourselves relatively honest. Sure, we may fudge a thing or two here or there, but, mostly, we are doing what we can to speak what is true for us.

Here is something I’ve noticed for myself lately: I’m not always honest — in here — about what is happening for me. And I’m not always honest about the fact that I’m not always honest. I’m not intentionally being dishonest. Rather, I’m doing what I can to keep something — the status quo? My ego? — protected and alive.

This is the level of honesty that I’m interested in. It is where a little light can go a long way.
